hellooo...

Okay. Since you guys want to buy papercuts (which I didn't anticipate, even if I told you I'd sell), I have some info.

1. Papercuts are the size of a piece of bond paper. 8 1/2 by 11 inches.

2. Tell me first what you want on it, and I can raise or lower the price according to how hard it will be to cut. I know right. Teeeeechnical.

3. This original artwork design (which you get to keep) can also be made into notecards and greeting cards and gift tags.

*happy dance on having accomplished something*
Yay.

papercuts

Nes-tuh-lay! Here's yours. I know you've waited a while. Hope you like it. :)
This second one was inspired by a song of McFly's. (of course.) It's called Star Girl, and it's currently my favorite "happy song". :D

I love this cut, too, even if I made a mistake. Eep. But you can still buy it, or anything else you want. just tell me, and if it is even remotely possible to make it a papercut, you bet me and my trusty x-acto knife will get it done. 'Cause that's how we roll.

you need flour for doughnuts

Here's that Abercrombie shirt I scored in an overruns rack the other day. I keep telling myself I won't buy tshirts, but my old ones are sort of disintegrating, and I couldn't resist this one. It fits perfectly, and it's navy! I'm kind of obsessed with navy blue right now. A close up of my necklaces: the guitar one is from Yela, of course. I miss you amiga! And the doughnut (eeee!) is from Ina. I came home one day, and she said, "Look what I made for you!" It's so adorable. How can I resist doughnut jewelery?
Here's me with my sisters, who I love to death. (Occasionally in the literal manner.)

Here are some flour sacks I found being sold for five bucks in a bakeshop in Santa Rosa. I haven't the slightest clue as to what to do with them, but I'm sure I'll figure something out. To test clothing patterns on, for instance.
I love the printing on the front.

Me in my shirt, and my shorts (remember them?) that I made, and a pair of black stockings my mom found in her closet. Haha. I was dripping sweat when Ina took this. I thought it was supposed to be the rainy season?

crocheted sea

A necklace I made about, hmm, a year ago? I completely forgot about it, because as cute as it is, choker necklaces aren't all that comfortable for me. It's an entirely original idea, which makes me feel happy. Haha. I crocheted it, then sewed on the beads and stuff. Here's a close up:

Yes, the blue thread is a weird color choice, I know. But I wasn't really thinking, and I'm always impatient with these things, assuming that no one will look at it up close anyway.

At least it isn't, you know, orange.

my shorts!

Here are those jeans-to-shorts I worked on recently! I'm so proud. *grins*

These were a pair of capris, which fit perfectly well, but were really weirdly flared at the ends, just above the ankles, and it looked really strange. And after a few fruitless trips to the mall, trying to find a cute pair of shorts that were also cheap, I decided to make my own. (I mean, the ones I wanted in Kamiseta were 800 pesos! I can't spare that for shorts!)
Here's how they look. Sorry I don't have any "before" pictures, I wasn't able to borrow a camera yet.
Here's a close up of my spontaneous embroidery on the pocket: Look at my tabs! Oooooohh, yeah.

Close up of the vintage buttons Mom never got around to using:

Tadah! Possibly my best clothing reconstructing project ever.
Now I have shorts! Thank goodness.

balloons

"One day he (the mouse) decided he needed to go for a vacation. And so he did."

Sorry, but that program that automatically crops scanned images is on a weird mood swing. So maybe ya'll can just squint at it.
I like it. Not immensely, but I like it.

wall art

Here is that big papercut that I sprained my finger working on (remember that?). Anyway. Its been done for a while now, I was just able to take a picture of it a few days ago. I think it looks nice in our house. Look.
So yes. That is where it hangs. Our nice cd player has expired, since Ina plugged it into an outlet and didn't check the voltage, so we have that in our living room. It isn'r so bad, the other one just looked..better.

Watch out for more of my paper stuff and *drumroll* a collaboration with one of my favorite people, Ms. Isabel Hernandez! Hahaha. I'm so excited, I could pee.

Later! <3

scherenschnitte

I'm very proud of this first one, I have to say. Haha. It was an idea that came while eating lunch. I sketched it right then, and cut for about and hour and a half. I think it came out really good, for a complicated drawing.
This is actually Ina's. I drew the people, and she went on from there. She's pretty good, don't you think?
This was Ina's request. She had written a song called "Little Bird", and she wanted me to illustrate a line from the song. The drawing was all from her brain, except for the little kerchief-on-a-stick bag. I was quite bent on putting that in. Haha.

The colors are actually pretty bright and vivid, they just kinda got lost in translation from the paper to the scanner. :P

Bunny!
Adorable, isn't he?
La-dee-dah.

the scrap bag

I dug into the cloth pile and came up with this. Ruby. Isn't she just the cutest?

I had the hardest time with her clothes. It isn't really a dress, it's more like a blouse, a skirt, and a sash. Still, I think it's a pretty decent first go at it.

I think I'll have to make a new one though, now I know how to. And I'll have to give her more hair.

Here is Ina modeling the armwarmers I made recently. I tweaked a pattern that I had. Woolly armwarmers just don't work well in the Philippine summertime.
I love the scallop-y parts on the top. Haha.
I know, these are absurdly bad pictures. But, don't you mind. I am praying hard for a new camera. And then I will post all the wonderfully lighted photographs that I can.

cap it off

1. Here's a cap I painted recently for a friend! (yay.)

2. And then a shirt I painted for another friend. (I wanted to keep it, but it wouldn't be much use, it's too big.) If you close up on it, the speaker's mesh part is really a Psalm. :)

argh!

This is so weird. Blogger won't let me see my new posts or my edited layout. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH

*hums a happy tune*

I'm listening to Mcfly's version of "Build Me Up Buttercup". It makes me dance. Haha.

I really want to post what I'm working on, which is a papercut with "A Scrumptious Opinion" on it, but I am camera-less at the moment. But no worries! I will get it up as soon as I can.

I made the cutest pair of handwarmers last week. :)
(well, actually, 3 pairs. Hehe.)

litol notecards with litol envelopes

Here are some notecards I made for a friend to give as Christmas gifts last holiday season.
Sorry for the awful pictures, with the shadows and everything, but it was really hard! They came in envelopes, but maybe I'll post those pictures later. :)

hello world

For all the people who have steadfastly stuck by me and said, "Sige na, start a business!" So, here I am. A Scrumptious Opinion.

I'll be posting random stuff about anything and everything, and you can buy anything I make. I'll find a way to get it to you somehow.

Ooh.. I'm excited already.
